Stage
1: Algae Destruction
By
slowly passing the single celled algae that cause "green
water" in front of the U.V.C light, the algae is caused to
clump together and start to die.

2: Mechanical Filtration
Specially
developed, profiled filter sponge pads will trap algae clumps plus
other large particles and are easily rinsed for regular
maintenance.

3: Biological Purification
After
mechanical filtration, the pond water passes through Fish Mate
SUPRA Biological Filter Medium, possessing over 100 times the
biological surface area of conventional plastic media. The
specific structure of SUPRA enables rapid growth of aerobic
bacteria resulting in removal of lethal ammonia and nitrite.
The patented Powerclenz
automatic cleaning system is unique in that by twisting a knob,
the pond filter automatically cleans itself. Simply turn the
tap to position "Clean", and the foam will be squeezed
by up to 1,000 lbs. force through water pressure, forcing out pond
sludge.

FISH MATE Bio Pond Filter
Easy to maintain, high
performance, three stage mechanical and biological filtration
systems. Fish Mate Bio Pond Filters are designed to create optimal
water quality and healthier fish for ponds up to 5,000 gallons.
All come with the Fish Mate SUPRA Biological Filter Medium with
room to add more if you wish. SUPRA possesses rapid growth of the
aerobic bacteria, reducing lethal ammonia and nitrites. Comes with
foam pad and brush media for fine mechanical and added biological
filtration.
Use a pre-filter before
pump to provide maximum time between maintenance. Medium and large
models feature removable bio media trays for easy maintenance. All
filters have two outlets.

Bio Pond Filter - Meant for small to medium ponds, this
low profile filter guarantees crystal clear water and is easily
camouflaged in even the smallest garden.
Medium UV and Bio Pond Filter - This filter is
suited for medium to large ponds and features a removable bio tray
with fast and slow flow zones.
Large UV and Bio Pond Filter - This powerful
filter works best in large ponds. It is particularly suited to Koi
ponds because of its high efficiency and easily removable media
trays.
