CrystalClear Polish AC heavy duty activated carbon is a
bituminous coal that has been exposed to extreme heat which
"activates" the carbon. This gives Polish AC the
ability to attract pollutants such as tannins (a pollutant that tans
pond water a hazy tea color) to remove them from the water column
quickly and safely.
The porous nature of activated carbon allows not only
for efficient removal of pond pollutants, but also provides an extreme
amount of surface area for bacteria to colonize on and help in the
contaminant removal process.
